As the year is coming to a close, blogs, magazines, websites, etc. are counting down their own lists of the Best Songs of 2008. Below is a review from both MTV and RollingStone, where Beyoncé's 5th number one single, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)", came in high on.

My favorite thing about Beyoncé has always been that despite the fact that she is well-manicured and coached to within an inch of her life, there is roughly a 50 percent chance that she is also a complete and total lunatic. I cannot explain why this is ... though, as Exhibit A, please allow me to present this song, which sounds like what would happen if the Supremes cut a track while someone was playing "Frogger" in the background (and I mean this in the best possible way). "Single Ladies" is hyperactive and supercharged in ways I never thought possible. It's epic and sexy and even a bit sad (because, you know, he didn't put a ring on it), and it manages to out-crazy even "Ring the Alarm" (thanks mostly to B's shout-out to Buzz Lightyear three-quarters of the way through). I love this song unapologetically, in reasons I am probably not doing a very good job of conveying. All I know is that there is absolutely zero chance Beyoncé ever releases a single like this ever again, so, you know, enjoy it while you can.

The time has finally come! "CADILLAC RECORDS", the new movie starring Beyoncé Knowles, Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright, Gabrielle Union, Mos Def, & many more, is out today, December 5th, 2008.

Set in the 1950's Chicago, the movie is based on the rise of Chess Records and its recording artists, including Muddy Waters, Chuck Barry, & Etta James, who in which Beyoncé portrays in the film. She has already been getting great reviews, along with the movie for her outstanding performance. Unfortunately, the movie is only showing in select theaters, but don't let that stop you. Go see the movie! 'Cadillac Records' is NOW PLAYING IN THEATERS!!

Beyonce recently got her FIFTH #1 Single on the Billboard Hot 100. This week, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" went #1 and topped T.I.'s "Live Your Life" ft. Rihanna. This is her 5th #1 single, following her previous ones: "Crazy In Love", "Baby Boy", "Check On It", & "Irreplaceable". Hopefully we can get "If I Were A Boy" up to #1 and make it 6! Congrats, BEE!

Beyoncé has recently made a record, along with rapper T.I. These two artists are the first to dominate the top 4 spots on the Billboard Hot 100. T.I. holds down the #1 spot with "Live Your Life (ft. Rihanna)", and the #4 spot, with "Whatever You Like". Beyoncé is right in between with "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" as #2 and "If I Were A Boy" at #3! WOW! Congrats, Bee. Let's hope she can make it up to #1 by next week!

Watch this clip from E! Online, which features Beyoncé and other cast members of Cadillac Records, including Adrien Brody, who plays Bee's love interest in the movie. Also in attendance was Miss Etta James herself, which Beyoncé portrays in the film.

MTV also spoke with Bee during the premiere of the movie, which you can watch HERE. Beyonce told MTV reporters that she was very, very nervous, and that Etta James herself spoke with her and told her that she loved her from the first time she heard her sing. Aww! Beyonce's latest and third solo effort, I Am... Sasha Fierce, came out a week ago, and it has already been reported to be certified GOLD, with 505,593 copies sold. But, some retailers, like Wal-Mart and Best Buy haven't reported yet, so the numbers are sure to increase as today and tomorrow progresses. The album also is at #1 on the albums chart, making it Bee's third #1 album-in a row. Congrats, Bee!

The singing, dancing, acting, power-coupling superhuman known as Beyoncé has held no-last-name-necessary status for almost a decade now. Yet somehow — against all the rules of our gotcha tabloid society — she steadfastly retains an old-fashioned, almost Garboesque mystery in her private life, granting only the occasional, pleasantly evasive interview. We are left to glean what we can from her songs and performances, which, though strikingly dynamic (only the dead of soul and lead of foot could resist smashes like ''Crazy in Love'' and ''Irreplaceable''), remain oddly disconnected from Ms. Knowles herself, who appears otherwise as serene and unblinking as a beauty queen.
On her third solo CD, which purports to be her most confessional yet, does she finally break through her superstar scrim? Not really. But I Am...Sasha Fierce does offer two compelling sides of the singer. The album is a two-disc set, one the work of ''Beyoncé'' (romantic, vulnerable,soft), the other by her alter ego, ''Sasha Fierce'' (aggressive, sexual, and, well, fierce).
The first two singles — one from each disc, released simultaneously — demonstrate the contrast between her dueling personae. The ''Beyoncé'' disc's heartrending ''If I Were a Boy'' soars with melodic swells and unwavering in-his-skin sentiments (''I think I could understand/How it feels to love a girl/I swear I'd be a better man''). On the other hand, ''Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),'' from the ''Sasha'' half, is all bouncy hand claps and post-breakup sass (''Kept crying my tears/For three good years/You can't be mad at me''), a giddy, high-stepping hybrid of lyrical kiss-off and fizzy jump-rope jam.

Beyoncé Helps Encourage Early Voters

Tomorrow, November 4th, is probably the most important day in our history, and like me, a lot of us are proud to be living to witness such a thing. And celebs, such as Beyoncé, are no different. Bee joined Jay-Z, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Russell Simons, and others on yesterday in support of Barack Obama, speaking, encouraging the early voters waiting in line, and taking pictures with some of them.

The "Last Chance for Change" rally was held in Mirimar, FL at Florida Memorial University, and they were there to campaign and help the people vote for the nominee to steer our country in the right direction. "I Am...Sasha Fierce" - New Album To Be Released On 11/18/08!

Bee is back! Her third album will be titled "I Am...Sasha Fierce", and is set to release next month on November 18th. The album will be non-collaborative, a double-disc album, one titled I Am, in which you will hear more ballads and heartful songs such as "If I Were A Boy", while the other, Sasha Fierce, will feature more dance and party jams like "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)". She explains the concept as...

“The new record is a double album and has two covers, like a magazine would have two covers. One of the covers is named I Am and the second cover is named Sasha Fierce. That is my alter ego and now she has a last name. I have someone else that takes over when it’s time for me to work and when I’m on stage, this alter ego that I’ve created that kind of protects me and who I really am. That’s why half the record, I Am is about who I am underneath all the makeup, underneath the lights, and underneath all the exciting star drama. And Sasha Fierce is the fun, more sensual, more aggressive, more outspoken side and more glamorous side that comes out when I’m working and when I’m on the stage.”

Beyoncé Performs "Single Ladies" Dance

Probably the first performance ever of a song from the new album has finally arrived. Beyoncé and two other background dancers surprisingly cat-walked onto the stage during Jay-Z's set and performed the dance routine of the new single, "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)"; at the Power 105.1's Powerhouse Concert on last night (Oct. 29).

The concert was held at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. Other performers included Lil' Wayne, Ne-Yo, Fabolous, Plies, & others. Watch the video of the performance below. Thanks to TheBeyonceNetwork.com W.O.W.!
